Instructions
  1. Small groups today.
  2. Grab a set of cups (they must all have the same number)
  3. Grab 1 test tube, rack, and pipette (or if you want you can get one per person and each try)
  4. Look at the example and try to get your colors to float on each other.
    1. Tilt the test tube at an angle and slide the drops down slowly
    2. If they float you got the right color
    3. Figure out which color floats on which
    4. You are finished when you have 4 distinct colors
    5. Each groups answers will be different
    6. Dont repeat previous mistakes! Write down what works and what doesnt
  5. When you finish post your order online (include color and label) on the bottom of yesterday's lab page.
  6. Also post WHY you think one thing floats on another.
    1. If you dont have a good guess, google "why do boats float?"
  7. If you have leftover time, check your grades and makeup ANY work that is below an 80.
  8. Clean out test tubes and pipettes and leave them in racks to dry.
